حُجة تعتمد في إثبات وجود الله على التفكير المنطقي البحت، وليس على الملاحظة للكون المادي عن طريق الحواس. وتقول إحدى الصياغات المعتادة لهذه الحُجة إن الله هو الأعظم بين كلِّ الكائنات الممكن تصوُّرها. وهذا الكائن لا بد أن يكون موجودًا، لأنه لو كان غير موجود، سيظلُّ بوسع المرء أن يتصور وجود كائن أعظم، وتحديدًا، كائن يتمتع هو أيضًا بصفة الوجود. ومن أشهر المناصرين للحُجة الوجودية أنسلم (Anselm) ورينيه ديكارت (René Descartes).
