حركة في زمن الكنيسة الباكرة ميَّزت ألوهية الله الآب عن ألوهية المسيح بحجة أن المسيح كائن مخلوق. وعلَّمت بأن الابن مولود من الآب ومن ثم، الابن له بداية. رأيٌ عن شخص المسيح بموجبه يكون المسيح هو الأسمى بين الكائنات المخلوقة؛ ومن ثَمَّ، من الصواب أن يُدعَى إلهًا، وليس الله.
