التطور الإلهي أو التطور الموجَّه إلهيًا: تؤمن نظرية "التطور الموجَّه إلهيًا" بأن الله استخدم التطور وسيلةً للخَلق بعد أن خلق المكونات الأساسية وقوانين الطبيعة التي تَضْمَن نشوء الحياة التي يريدها. البعض يطلق مصطلح النشوء التوحيدي على هذه النظرية (مع أنه لا توجد علاقة للمصطلح بفكرة التوحيد)، ويصفها بأن الله وجَّه عمليات التطور الطبيعي، واستخدمها، وسيطر عليها لكي "يخلق" العالم وكل ما فيه. الخلاصة: تؤمن هذه النظرية بأن الله موجود ولكنها تؤمن أيضًا بالتطور؛ ومن ثم تربط بين دور العِلم والدور الإلهي في خَلق الإنسان.
