وجهة النظرالبعد ألفية فيما يتعلق بالملك الألفي والمجيء الثاني للمسيح، أي أن المجيء الثاني للمسيح سيكون بعد الملك الألفي. المنهجية الأخرويَّة التي تؤمن بأن المسيح سوف يأتي ثانية بعد مُلك الألف سنة. وهذا يعني أنه سوف يَملُك دون أن يكون حاضرًا بالجسد، وأن الملكوت يمتد (يتوسَّع) الآن في العالم من خلال الكرازة بالإنجيل؛ وبذلك سيتحوَّل العالم إلى المسيحية لفترة ألف سنة بعدها سيأتي المسيح ثانية.
