نسبة إلى تعليم أوطيخا (380 – 456 م تقريبًا) رئيس دير بالقسطنطينية. التعليم القائل إن يسوع كانت له طبيعة واحدة فحسب، طبيعة الله الذي صار جسدًا وإنسانًا. بعبارة أخرى، كان كل جانب من جوانب طبيعة المسيح ممتزجًا جدًّا في الواقع بحيث لم تكن هناك سوى طبيعة إلهية، ومن هنا جاءت تسمية المونوفيزية Monophysitism .
