(أو التجسيم)، التأنيسية: استعارة يستخدمها كُتاب الكتاب المقدس لينسبوا إلى الله (أو يشبِّهوه بـ) صفاتٍ إنسانية مادية بغرض توضيح فكرة معينة. على سبيل المثال، "وَجْهُ" الله أو "ذراع" الله، رغم أن الكتاب المقدس يعلن أن الله روح، وغير محدود بالزمان ولا المكان. تجسيم: من الصور البلاغية، نسب أعمال أو صفات أو عواطف بشرية لله أو لآلهة. فهم الله باعتبار أن له مشاعر أو انفعالات بشرية. أن يُنسبَ لله تعبيرات وانفعالات بشرية، كالغضب والغيرة، إلخ.
